Character & Role Play

A character is a person or figure created for a story or scene, defined by specific traits, emotions, and behaviors. Role play involves embodying a character and acting out scenarios, often through improvisation. This process encourages creativity, imagination, and empathy by allowing participants to explore different perspectives and respond to unexpected situations in a dynamic and spontaneous way.

The objective of this module is to help participants develop and portray diverse personas, emotions, and viewpoints through improvisation. It enhances creativity, empathy, and confidence by refining vocal techniques (tone, pitch, pace) and utilizing body language (posture, gestures) to convey character traits effectively. Participants learn to understand their character’s emotions and thoughts which improves their ability to think quickly, react authentically, and engage with others in dynamic scenes. By honing their confidence, communication, and emotional expression, participants gain a deeper understanding of human behavior and storytelling.
